The Pforzheim Gasometer strives to make its website accessible in accordance with the Accessibility Enhancement Act (BFSG) and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Conformity Level AA.
Status of Compliance with the Requirements
The website is largely compliant with the WCAG 2.1 Level AA requirements.
Numerous digital accessibility measures have already been successfully implemented. A few technical optimizations are still in progress.
Remaining Barriers
The following content is not yet fully accessible:
- Some PDF files (e.g., event or visitor information) have not yet been made accessible.
- The header and footer currently still contain Empty Links and Redundant Link Titles
- In some parts of the website, „Redundant Links“ — for example, elements with multiple links pointing to the same destination.
- Some color contrasts, particularly on the home page, do not currently meet the contrast ratio specified by WCAG AA.
These issues are known and have already been forwarded to the agency in charge for technical revision.

This statement was prepared based on a Self-Assessment using testing tools such as WAVE, internal WCAG checklists, and manual testing.
