Hours, Tickets & Directions
The Pforzheim Gasometer is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. We recommend allowing about 60 to 90 minutes for your visit. Opening hours may vary on holidays and during special events. Please check our website for the latest information.
Admission to the Pforzheim Gasometer costs €13.00 for adults. Those eligible for a discount pay €11.00, and children ages 6 to 16 pay €6.00. For families, a small family ticket is available for €19.00 and a large family ticket for €32.00. In addition, there are special rates for groups and students, as well as an “after-work” ticket available starting at 5:00 p.m. Seniors aged 65 and older receive a discounted admission price of €8.00 on the last Friday of every month. The Pforzheim Gasometer is located at Hohwiesenweg 6, 75175 Pforzheim, right next to Enzauenpark. You can reach us by public transportation via the “Enzauenpark” stop; from there, it’s about a three-minute walk to the entrance. Free parking is available for visitors in the signposted parking garage, and bicycle parking is available right next to the Gasometer. Tour buses can drive right up to the entrance and use three free bus parking spaces.
Yes. Tickets for the Gasometer Pforzheim can be conveniently booked in advance through the online store. Online tickets are tied to a specific visit date and can either be presented on a smartphone or printed out.

From the central viewing platform, new perspectives on this richly detailed work of art continually unfold. The special atmosphere of the former gasometer, along with accompanying exhibitions, guided tours, and events, makes a visit an extraordinary experience for all the senses.
The current exhibition features the monumental 360° panorama “AMAZONIA – The Fascination of the Tropical Rainforest” by artist Yadegar Asisi. The artwork takes visitors on an impressive journey of discovery through the Amazon Basin and showcases the fascinating diversity of the tropical rainforest - from majestic primeval trees and colorful plants to exotic animals. An impressive light and sound production featuring day and night simulations brings the rainforest’s special atmosphere and unique biodiversity to life.
The exhibition “AMAZONIA – The Fascination of the Tropical Rainforest” by Yadegar Asisi will be on view at the Gasometer Pforzheim at least through the end of 2026. An exact end date has not yet been set. You can find the latest information on the exhibition’s duration on our website at any time.
Yes. The Pforzheim Gasometer is an ideal destination for a day trip in any weather. The monumental 360° panorama and the accompanying exhibition are located entirely indoors and can be visited regardless of rain, wind, or cold. The central observation deck is also located indoors and offers impressive views of the artwork from various heights.
Yes. The The exhibition areas and the panorama room at the Pforzheim Gasometer are cooled in the summer and heated in the winter. However, due to the historic gasometer’s considerable height and architecture, it can still be warmer in the upper areas of the panorama room during the summer, as the cooled air does not circulate all the way up to a height of about 15 meters.

Yes. The 360° panorama at the Pforzheim Gasometer is perfect for a family outing. Children can discover numerous animals, plants, and exciting details in the impressive visual world, while adults continually notice new perspectives and connections. The unique atmosphere, the ambient sounds, and the transition from day to night make this shared visit a fascinating experience for all generations.
The observation tower inside the gasometer is 15 meters high. Three visitor platforms at heights of 6, 12, and 15 meters offer ever-changing perspectives on the monumental 360° panorama. The platform at 12 meters is easily accessible by elevator. The historic gasometer itself is about 42 meters tall.
You should plan on spending about 60 to 90 minutes visiting the Pforzheim Gasometer. This will give you plenty of time to explore the monumental 360° panorama from various heights and perspectives and to take your time viewing the accompanying exhibition. If you’d like to stop by the bistro or visit the rooftop terrace afterward, you can extend your visit accordingly.
Yes. For the exhibition “AMAZONIA” at the Pforzheim Gasometer There is an audio guide about the Listening tour app available. It can be downloaded for free onto your smartphone and is in German available.
The exhibition itself is in German and English processed. In addition, there are Information kiosks in “plain language” to make the content as clear and accessible as possible.
We recommend downloading the audio tour app before your visit and bringing your own headphones.
Yes, the Pforzheim Gasometer offers both public and privately bookable guided tours of the exhibition “AMAZONIA – The Fascination of the Tropical Rainforest.” Groups can book exclusive tours; age-appropriate tours with various thematic focuses are also available for school groups. For registered school groups, there is a special event day on Mondays with free admission. Special admission prices and terms apply to groups and school classes. Groups should make reservations in advance; our visitor services team will be happy to advise you on available dates and suitable offers.

Yes. The rooftop terrace of the bistro at the Gasometer Pforzheim can also be used without visiting an exhibition. There, guests can enjoy the beautiful view of the Enz River and Enzauenpark while dining and having drinks. No exhibition ticket is required to visit the restaurant and its rooftop terrace.
Yes. At the Pforzheim Gasometer, a bistro invites you to take a short break before or after visiting the exhibition. The menu features a variety of tarte flambées, cakes, and pies, as well as savory dishes and hot and cold beverages. During the summer months, the rooftop terrace also offers a beautiful view of the Gasometer, the Enz River, and Enzauenpark.
Yes. Right next to the Pforzheim Gasometer, visitors can park for free in the adjacent parking garage. The entrance is clearly marked. There are also three free parking spaces for tour buses at the entrance. Alternatively, you can reach the Gasometer in about a three-minute walk from the “Enzauenpark” bus stop. There are also bike racks right in front of the entrance.
Yes. At the Pforzheim Gasometer, there is a coat check and lockers available just outside the entrance to the exhibition. You can conveniently store your jackets, backpacks, and personal belongings there before visiting the exhibition.

Accessibility, Families & Rules
The Pforzheim Gasometer is designed to be accessible. The observation deck, located 12 meters above ground, is easily accessible by elevator, ensuring a comfortable visit even for people with limited mobility.
Strollers can be brought along without any problems.
Out of consideration for the exhibition and all visitors, dogs are not permitted in the Pforzheim Gasometer. Service dogs are, of course, exempt from this rule.
Photography and filming for personal use are welcome at the Gasometer Pforzheim. For commercial shoots or the use of professional equipment, please contact us in advance.
Yes. The The Pforzheim Gasometer is available for corporate events, celebrations, and special occasions for exclusive use. This exceptional event venue features a historic industrial landmark and a 360° panoramic view of the exhibition “AMAZONIA” a special atmosphere for events with up to 500 people.
There are also special packages available for smaller events, such as for groups of 20 to 50 people outside of regular business hours.
